Today, July 29, the Government will approve the Regulations on the Centers for Professional Development of Pedagogical Workers. The Center is created by the local government in accordance with the needs of the territorial community. Several founders may decide to co-establish the Center. Village, town and city councils may establish Centers, ensure and organize their work in accordance with the Law of Ukraine ‘On Cooperation of the Territorial Communities’. The Center must be a legal entity formed as a budgetary institution. The founder develops and approves the constituent documents and determines the service area.
The main tasks of the Center are to promote the professional development of the pedagogical workers, their counseling and psychological support.
The Center is financed by the founder, and the control over the observance of the legislation is carried out by the education management authority of the regional state administration. Under such norms, the Centers will be completely independent of local education authorities.
