On November 4, consultative meeting “What should education managers do in the context of changes in the administrative and territorial structure and reform of the New Ukrainian School?” was held for education managers of Luhansk Oblast at joint initiative of DECIDE project, Luhansk Oblast State Administration and Department of Education and Science of Luhansk Oblast State Administration.
The event was attended by representatives of the Department of Education and Science of Luhansk Oblast State Administration and territorial communities of Luhansk Oblast. In the format of a dialogue, the participants discussed the main issues of current concern of education managers and found answers to them together with Volodymyr Bozhynskyi, head of the expert group on regulatory support for the Directorate of school education of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine.
In particular, special attention was paid to the following issues:
creation of the education authority in the community and legality of granting the status of the authorized person to the education authority in the community;
types of educational institutions and grounds for their re-registration, and it should be remembered that the founder of the educational institution is obliged to provide children with opportunity to complete education of the appropriate level, etc.
“The interests of teacher are above all! There should be no groundless dismissals in case of reorganization or re-registration of the educational institution, because changes in the organization of work are not grounds for dismissal of an employee”, concluded Bozhynskyi.
